hope for Afflecks?

It looks like Manchester Council have spotted a golden PR opportunity and got in there fast.
A crisis summit is due to take place next week to discuss the future of the slightly crusty but irreplacable Afflecks Palace shopping emporium in the city's Northern Quarter.
Fingers crossed that the building owners, Bruntwood, can be persuaded to renew the lease - and at prices which won't drive the stall holders out of business.
