Mum jailed over £100,000 fiddle
A JOBLESS mum has been jailed after she admitted cheating the benefits system out of more than £100,000.
Audrey Busutill, 40, was told by a judge at Manchester Crown Court she had committed an 'appalling' crime.
The mother of three was jailed for 12 months and will be pursued by the Department of Work and Pensions after her release from prison to repay the money that she claimed.
Judge Anthony Ensor said the total figure of £102,638 she had cheated from the public purse was the highest level of benefits fraud he had ever seen before the courts.
