about time too

It's taken a while but I have finally managed to get this story in print - almost FOUR months after I first approached people with it.

Amazing really - it got turned down by four national papers, sat on for a good three months by one of the regional papers in Merseyside and finally run as a news story by the Big Issue in the North - often one of the only publications in this area which dares print anything remotely challenging.
Then, within two days of it being published, I get an email from a national broadcast news correspondent, wanting to know more - with a view to a possible follow-up.
Whatever may or may not come out of this, I hope it helps to persuade Lovell and Liverpool City Council to do the right thing by residents of Granby - the very people meant to be benefitting from this £27m regeneration.
