The problems faced by the Seedley community in Salford have been highlighted by the artist Harold Riley, who spent his early years in an area about to be bulldozed in the name of regeneration.
Yes, okay, so he doesn't still live in the area, having moved to a plush apartment in swanky Salford Quays years ago (although that's less than a mile from his old street and he pays his taxes to Salford City Council).
But it's a way of getting a politically unpalatable issue into the public eye in the days leading up to an election.....
